Customer Reviews

Customer rating is 1 of 5  Chocolate Fudge lot that expires July 7, 2011 is bad - powder all over the outside of chocolate   2010-07-30
By D. Beaupre
I love these chocolate fudge bars. Unfortunately, all six boxes, from two different deliveries, had to be thrown away. There was powder all over the outside of the bars. The box was not wrapped in any covering, taped close. So, even though the expiration date is July 7, 2011, they all had gone bad (rancid).

I have informed Amazon about this situation and hope that they will be able to correct it. They were very good in refunding my money, but that doesn't help when I need the product.

I suggest that nobody buy these chocolate fudge bars. I don't know if there is a problem with any of the other flavors.

I have requested that Amazon let me know when a new shipment arrives, but I don't know if that will actually happen.

Customer rating is 1 of 5  The WORST!!   2010-07-30
By J. Hutchison (Idaho)
Had high hopes, I'm on a low carb, high protein diet , But these are like eating cardboard, and gave me severe acid reflux, Wouldn't suggest them to anyone. My Dog doesn't even like them!!!!
Customer rating is 1 of 5  Warning for the weak of stomach   2010-07-30
By Dr. Arthur B. Epstein (Long Island, NY)
I am not a regular reviewer, but this product was so awful that I would be remiss if I didn't warn others. The taste is what I suspect compressed sawdust would taste like if it has a sticky chocolate coating. Even my dog - who will usually eat anything won't touch these. If you don't trust me and want to try them anyway, I suggest you order one box only. I ordered four. Guess where they are going?
Customer rating is 1 of 5  For use as punishment only   2010-07-29
By Barbara T. Kaio
This product can't possibly be for human consumption. The horribly chemical "chocolate fudge" taste exploded in my mouth after the first chew (and chew vigorously and extensively you must to break it down enough to swallow). It left a metallic tingle and itch on my tounge. I felt nauseated. I needed to brush my teeth immediately to get the taste out of my mouth enough to cease the increasing urge to vomit. I was exciting about ordering this product when I saw it on Amazon's "Today's Deals" and read the description. It sounded perfect for my needs. Now I'm stuck with nine bars whose only use I can see fit is as a form of severe punishment for delinquent children.
Customer rating is 4 of 5  poor tasting   2010-07-29
By R. pastore (N.Y.C.)
i can't slam this product because the ones i recieved from amazon are very stale(although date says good through may of 2011)i think from poor storage in warehouse,so with that grain of salt, i found them to have a chemical taste. but i'm sure if they were fresh it would have been better.
and if i were on a gluten free diet it would be great
